I was told that its a big risk to run my used cam( magnum .306 w/ 260 at 50) for my 410 stroker. .so was wondering wat cam I should go with? Wat would you guys do ?? Want around 500+hp
Why would it be a big risk?
If the cam is good I would run it without worry,I always use new lifters though even on used cams, its good insurance.
As long as your positive you know where the lifters go on the respective lobes and there's no visible problem with the cam or lifters I see no reason at all not to use it. Since it wasn't ran much I would re-use the lifters. I have done it with no problem.
One thing to check when installing lifters (anytime) is to make sure they rotate freely in the lifter bores.
I too would do the same.

Oh yeah, that cam should be plenty good for 500 hp as long as everything else (heads, intake, carb, etc..) is up to the task.
