Ring Gear Spacer Question

Has anyone ever used a ring gear spacer.
I have a brand new Moser spool that is the wrong series for the ratio that
want to run.
I see that Mr.Gasket has blanchard ground spacers available for this problem.
Has anyone ever used one of these successfully or should I stay away from this idea.

hi, I've used them before. they will work quite well. you need to use longer shouldered bolts. I put one in a dana 44 for a drag pickup, the guy ran it 10 yrs, before it broke the ring gear teeth. the spacer didn't break or cause the failure. just foodfor thought
