RIP Stephen Hawking

4 pages for a RIP thread. I'm a Christian, and I am saddened that a man like Steven Hawking was a non believer. That doesn't bode well for him in the after life. We are all going to either Heaven or Hell, and the only way to Heaven is by believing in Jesus Christ. That said, I had great respect for Steven Hawking. I appreciated and admired his brilliance, and I think we can all appreciate how he overcame his disabilities. I agree with a lot of things people have said, and disagree with a lot also. What I do NOT care for is the rude and inappropriate way some FABO members have acted towards others. If you disagree with someone, does it have to include name calling and rude comments??? That is cyber bullying, and there should be no place for it here. Thanks for listening.

Gotta disagree. We FABO guys should be able to discuss anything without reverting to rude comments and name calling. That is called civilized behavior, and blowing it off as, "That is as civil as it is going to get," is accepting it as the norm. Rude comments and name calling should NEVER be considered as the norm.

Not closed minded I don't think.
It just never really occurred to me that it meant squat outside this planet since the whole thing is about the earth and man without a single mention of anyone else.
Did I wrongly assume "man" meant humans specifically all this time?

Neither could Hawking, even though he "thought" he could.

That's the deal, nobody.
Nowhere have I ever seen mention of others one way or the other and I always thought that was kind of odd.
I could be wrong, but even the bible as far as I remember never mentions the possibility one way or the other does it?
One would think it would have come up if others did exist.

Are we talking ET like the Coast to Coast people talk about, or are we talking about intelligent life forms on other planets that are not allowed to come to this quarantined planet because it makes a different.

Also, this is why I don't like using web site quotes. I'm not sure why they use that particular verse to prove their point.

If God created everything that exists I would be interested in finding any information about other beings having been spoken of or written about in the Christian faith.

Like I said above, most of what I find is some authors opinion, and not based in facts.

There are some things that God has chosen not to reveal to man. So we have to take what we get.

Ya know, right now Steven KNOWS the answer the rest of us are speculating about.
Anyhow I wish my life were as meaningful as he made his life to be.
Even in his passing he's still provoking dialogue.
