I see him on Moparts all the time. I believe he lives in IL.
When I get time I'll do a search on Moparts and see if I can find the thread.

That one that has been turned in to a race car makes no sense. Why publicize it is a "SAVAGE" but have it in it's race car condition? Very little is there to make you believe it is what he claims it to be, and the value is only what you would expect a hacked up fastback race car Cuda would be. Nothing more.

Personally I would pay more for the ebay car than that race car.

How much do you think you would pay?
Say the original stuff is still with the car...

Pretty good question. Like a lot of the others here, I haven't ever seen or heard of one of these before. So it's kind of hard to formulate an opinion of it's real dollar value. But to me it isn't worth much as a race car missing most, if not all of what made it unique.

That being said, he built himself a really nice race car. One anyone would be proud of. I just think it's a shame to hack up something that rare.

So what did that one sell for on ebay? Anyone know?

I think it should be right up with the value of a Yenko Nova at least.
The special cars like these should be the most sought after in my book.
I really like that shot of the red one somebody posted.

Interesting cars no doubt. But Yenco money? Performance wise they weren't that much different than what you could get from the factory. Says "high performance intake" but doesn't say its an aluminum piece. Has what I would guess is a center squirter type Holley carb, headers, and a dual point. It lists the 383 as 335 HP which is stock rating for a 69 road runner.

IF I had to make a guess at value, I would guess maybe 25-50% more than a comparable condition factory 340, 383, or 440 car

I love threads like this one, it helps educate all of us. Keep those pictures coming. I have been around mopars my whole life ,and never heard of these barracudas' before. I would like to know if the guy off moparts still has the one he bought off of ebay? Great job on this one fellows :read2: .

I was considering the amount of cars with this package as well...
Rare = Money

what are those wheels on it? or are they some kind of aftermarket wheels that where popular back in the day? they look alot like the wheels i have on my duster...

real cool abody!
They look like 'Wiremags' that were made by Appliance Wheels. Had a set on my '74 TransAm way right after I got it in October '73 - ordered the car from a picture in the Pontiac brochure.

Savage B-Cudas were built in Wisconsin (I believe) at Fon Du Lac. The one in the pic was bought by rinohdart from moparts.com, go there and ask him. I think he is the one that ended up with it. That was about a year ago, maybe two. I remember lots of talk on that site about it.
As stated their were supposedly 10-15 built, and that one is a real rough survivor. I think it sat in a field for years through the Wiconsin winters, and they are not kind to old muscle cars. I don't know if Jim still has it or not.

Thats all I know hope it is accurate.

A little late checking out this thread but yes, I still have the Savage GT. I need to head back up to Wisconsin and purchase the original 340 this is in a 70 Challenger. Not much known about these cars but I am still looking!

Congrats to you on saving a piece of American history! Especially something that doesnt have much info on it. When you get more info, please post it. I and others are very interested in these cars.
