Im looking for a shift indicator to fit in my A-body console. i need one that reads (P,R,N,D,3,2,1) since i am puting an over drive in my car.

if anyone has put one of these in or knows where to find one,
please let me know.

Thanks, Phil.

I imagine you would need to change the entire shifter or atleast modify its step pattern.
There may be enough length to the window to add another position below low but it would take some very fine adjustment.
For safety reasons I would want to get park with no conflicts even if I couldn't get low.

What kind of overdrive tranny are you installing ?

If it is a A500 or A518, there is no overdrive position, just an overdrive lockout switch. Some are on the end of the shifter and some are on the dash.

On GM 700R4 and 200R4s there is an OD position and the junkyards are full of Camaros and Fireturds.

Take the console apart and compound off the original lettering, then go to a custom graphics place and have them duplicate the original font with the pattern you want with white letters over clear vinyl and apply to the orig selector.
