how do i fix the shifter adjustment sometimes i put the car in Park and its in Reverse so i need to fix it. but how?

follow the linkage under the car. there should be a bolt, probably with some sort of spring on it you can loosen and adjust for.
on the linkage under the car there is a steel block with the linkage rod T-ed through is then a hexhead bolt serves as set screw
