What other tracks?!? Barona is my closest track too, (not counting pomona, 10 minutes away) and its over a hundred. Irwindale and Fontana closed, and the route I take to famoso is 180.
For trailers, just wow. I saw a junk open flatbed here in tri-state Arizona, guy was asking FIVE GRAND!. (for a $1500 trailer)
If i were looking for a trailer, the first guy I would talk to would be GTX John.
A REALLY good guy.
Trailer prices on the west coast are nuts compared to east coast and midwest.

Figured any tracks in the Arizona area, like where they are doing the duct tape event, Famoso, maybe swing by Nebraska and race with my cousin as time permits.

Might try to catch John and Jon again at Pomona in November and see what he could do. He had mentioned it last year when my son and I swung by but wasn’t really looking at the time.

From my Arizona place, nearest is Vegas, 120 miles.

Well CA Hot Rod Reunion was a bust for us….. could NOT hit the tree to save my life. But if there’s a race where you’re gonna stink the place up it can’t be anymore fun than this event! Lots of nitro cars on property and great racing to watch. Cruz Pedragon had the ole California Charger out and just missed making the 16 car field. Garlits was there and we saw Capps, Prudhomme as well as Butch Leal taking it all in. I’m not much of a “car show” person, but the cackle fest they had Saturday featured 60+ cars and it was a sight and sound to behold. We muddled our way through R1 but that ended it for us. Terrible light R2. Car is really printing tickets as the two am test hits showed. Was down a couple mph than what we experienced previously at Famoso, but it was a lot more humid than we’d seen. Found a deal on some new shoes and finally rid myself of those gawd awful Racequip ones. The DJ units go on so much easier. Due to my pedals in the car i definitely prefer the smaller race shoes…. and the rules require them :). While we have the opportunity to race a couple more times, I think we’re done until spring. It’s off roading season in the desert and we have a pretty busy nov/dec planned. Still sniffing around at trailers too.
