I love the 1970 Bodystyle as much as the 68/69's....maybe a tad more since I own a 1970 :happy10:

Here are some of my dart, and some pictures of the parts im going to be putting in it. The suspension is all powder coated wrinkle finish black, the dash is powder coated satin black front and back, and now I have a 383 and 727 trans with 50k on them that I will be dropping in with a 3:55 gear in the rear after all that gets powder coated wrinkle black. It will be a fun car to drive with the big block.

Last Summer. I like the weather changes here in the Mid Alantic but usually about this time of year I'm tired of the cold and wish for warmer days.

Take a look at page 1 of this thread. GTS340 has a pic of this car when he had it. I bought this one from him and made a few changes. Still have a long way to go!!

Here it is through it's stages. My older brother bought it in 1990, he drove it for a summer, and becuase of some circumstances it sat in the driveway for 3 years. Spring of 1994 my daily driver blew up and my dad suggested I see if the old Dart would start (I didn't have any cash and he didn't want to buy me a car...) Well, it had a /6 so you know it started right up no problem, 3 year old gas and all! I drove it for that whole summer and since then it has been mine.

I quickly swapped out the /6 for a 318 and put some rallye rims on it. Plus paint and all kinds of other maintenance work. It already had an 8.75 (3.23 gears), disk brakes, welded in frame connectors, plus the rallye dash. With all that I figure it must have originally been a 340 car, but who knows. I don't really care, 'cause I love it!

Back in high school my "non-car guy" friends called it "the coffin". Since college all my little brother's friends have called it "the batmobile". I just call it a 70 Swinger, even though I don't really know what it is...

I really dig the blacked out look!

Maybe those non /6 items were added by a former owner? You can tell what engine it came with from the VIN. 5th digit?
