Pretty much stock except bigger cam, new arp hardware and port matched intake and exhaust ports for better flow and quickfuel metering plates in the outboard carbs so i can adjust the size of the jets for better performance. The engine dyno says 450 hp and 528 tq

Does The Rb And 6 Pack Air Cleaner Fit Under Flat Hood?

I attempted this on my ‘68 Barracuda in 1990 and the hood braces needed trimming to clear. I think the air cleaner still touched the hood. It was an original cast iron intake and air cleaner from a super bee that a friend was restoring so I was just doing a test fit with a junk hood, I was trying to figure out if I wanted to spend the money. Motor mounts were Home made from plate steel, so, maybe?

I guess if it's that close you could shim the k frame like the hemi cars

sorry for the late reply to your question but I dont have the air cleaner yet but I dorpped a level across the fenders and their is about 1 inch between the carburetor and the level so no I dont think it will fit and also I am thinking that I will run a scoop anyway due to possible heat buildup from the 440 being is such a small engine bay

Do you like your plug wire routing? Care to discuss which ends were used on which cylinders (straight, 45 and 90 degree?)

Thanks,
JW

I bought the following from summit racing which allowed me to have multi-angle boots
MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Spark Plug Wire Sets 32739

Here a few photos of the angle of the boots. Sorry for the bad photos. It's difficult to fit a camera in there.

Photo 1 is cylinders 1,3
Photo 2 is cylinders 5, 7
Photo 3 is cylinders 2,4,6,8
Photo 4 is how I handled routing the plug for cylinder 4. Also it's much easier to change plugs for 2,4,6 considering that side is very tight. (Those holes are much cleaner now as that was a rough cut and that wire is covered in split loom to make sure nothing pinches the wire)
