Show Your Big Block A body!

I've had this Dart for a long time. It is a real 340 4 speed GTS. Bought it as a roller from another fellow here in town. It was a race car in Medicine Hat for quite a few years, so I was told, came purple with the black engine bay. It came with the mini tub done and spring mounts moved in. The 440 is originally out of a 69 Charger from a fellow that upgraded to a hemi. I put a roller cam and rockers in it, can't remember the specs off hand, mild porting on the Edelbrock heads, TTI headers, 11" clutch inside an older Ansen scatter shield, 833 with a V-gate shifter, 8.75 diff with 3:91's in a 489 on regular springs. It has the tin valve covers because I was never able to put in a set of fab covers because of the intake manifold. Put a line lock and a set of discs in the front, sub frame connectors, put in a fuel system, recovered the seats, changed the grill. Did not do any body work. It came with the 15 x 10 Centerlines on the back, so I scared up a set of skinnies to match for the front. I'm putting fiberglass bumpers on my race car and then I'll put the back bumper from it onto the purple Dart. I just drive it. It's cheap to insure and I only burn a couple of tanks of fuel a year in it.

Would any of you mini tub guys mind sharing pics of the mini tubs? I need to tub the Demon one way or another and would like info.

Just realized 33 pages in I have never posted my 72 Demon 451" stroker. 727, 8.75 with 3.91

As I bought it way back in 94, it was so beat the hood and roof were the only panels not bent and my buddies nicknamed it the 1000 dent Demon. It's a long story to why I got it looking like this but two weeks prior to me buying it it had been driven to Indiana from South Carolina and was gorgeous then it hydroplaned and I was sold the engine (360 at the time) trans and rearend and told to put it in a new body...
new to me demon.jpg

Obviously I don't listen so good....

Back when it was still running, best time on a 3.23 peg leg was 13.20 at 112.

Prepping to get it back on road. My goal was to paint it Sassy Grass Green, however I am now going back to the original green.

Pretty simple concept. Split the inner and move it flush to the frame then fill the gap. My inners were chewed up from a back yard job a friend and I did 25 years ago, so when I painted the car I bought new inners and we did it much cleaner this time.

Which intake did you get to fit under that stock hood? Nice car!

8.8 is pretty strong. Depends what kind of power you putting to it and if you are drag racing it. How fast you plan to go...
Ive had a junkyard 8.8 in my duster since 2009 or so. '10-'11 I put a 400 and 6speed. Had drag radials on it for a while. Now just 315 radials.
They are c clip axles and the c clip eliminator kit adds like 1" per side to the width. So if c clip axles don't fit into your plan I'd look for something else.

Holding up very well! I've had 0 issues with it and very happy so far. Only been driving on it for about 8 months so far but it's an awesome rear end for the moeny

We all like a nice ***
