Mine was interesting. Had a doctors appointment at an office that was about 50 miles away....when you live in a rural area seems damn near everything is at least 30 miles away. Anyhow, decided I was going to take the chopper. Put it outside the gate when the wife left for her Embroidery class this morning....Was her birthday today...Just about to the stop sign where I turn from one state highway to another. Gearing down for the stop sign bike stalled...gas was pouting out the vent on the karbanator....frigging float stuck again. Turned around to head home, hoping there was enough fuel to get me there. Not exactly a great feeling, watching gas pour all over a hot exhaust pipe. Light bulb went off...turn the petcock off til the karbanator runs dry, then turn it back on. After a few cycles the needle unstuck..Turned back around. GPS said I was not going to get there til 9:35, check in time was 9:30. Knowing there is never a radar cop until the 35 zone at the end of the road I turned it up....85-90 in a 55....slowed down entering the series of corners.....accelerating pretty hard, going thru the gears.....nailed a bird with the right foot....sputtered out of gas coasting into a gas station in Reardan.....gas was .30 higher than what I paid for it just yesterday....doc gave me good news.....stopped to visit the wife at her class....ended up buying some embroidery design software for her birthday.....$350.....cruise down some farm roads to come home, just enjoying the high 80 day....get in the house, only to be greeted by one of our dogs.....Queenie, our 12 year old Australian Cattle Dog would not get up off the floor. She finally did..hobbled outside on 3 legs and laid down hard.....had to carry her in the house. Called Ernie, she was having lunch with her sewing buddy....whose birthday was yesterday....Ernie hauled *** coming home, came in, called the vet scooped up Queenie and told me to lock up and get out to the gate. Carry Queenie into the vet, put her on the floor and she is walking....gingerly but she is walking....end up in a room with her.....and she starts to :fart:...bad enough that me & Ernie left the room.....take her and draw blood...liver enzymes are elevated....doc thinks she probably just twisted her leg....coming home Queenie :fart:'s again....damn near wanted to puke....now we are getting verbally assaulted by our 11 week old Redbone puppy....she missed her ,lunch and is pi&&ed off....

Not surprised Queenie hurt herself....in typical Cattle Dog fashion she does everything at 150%....

Real bad electrical storm here, my dog Tucker hates them. So we go to dinner with some friends and come back to a real bad smell from the living room. Tuck puked a mountain on the rug. Guess the storm upset him. My daughter cleaned it up, I felt sorry for him.

Not a good thing to come home to...how is the pooch doing now? We had a dog that was afraid of thunder.....Fred used to climb behind the sofa...Monsoon season in AZ there is a ton of thunder....he ripped the back piece of fabric off of it one night.....

On phone job interview for an hour....

check out AC on my daughter car...

cut the coupler off my trailer ....

got too hot and went home.

Just a typical average day then, eh?

Feel for you ,Inkjunkie...several days ,like that. Today was good.Lots of B.S.,helping a hot rodder getting closer, makes it better. (What do you know, about lawn care & gardening?...).

Glad you got good news Doug. Tell Ernie Happy Birthday from me and give Queenie a hug.

"So how was your day" ????

Great. Thanks for asking.

Sorry to hear that you's didn't go so well, again, though. Tell Ernie Happy Birthday.

Got some trim painted for the room I'm remodeling, rebuilt an old dresser that Sarah had to be put back into use.

Took a nap.

Chased the puppy around.

Today I'm going to town to register the trailer, work some more on the dresser, and chase the puppy around some more.

Give Ernie a hug and wish her a happy birthday.

Glad to hear about the good news you got yesterday from the specialist. Sounds like the rest of the day was a bit of an adventure.
Tell Ernie, "Happy Birthday"!

Thanks....days like yesterday just make me appreciate days like today....going to go do some rock farming, play with the pup, straighten the garage out a bit and if I get energetic enough I may soak the bike in Simple Green and fire up the pressure washer...Gas stains are pretty nasty looking...
