Hey autox, where was hotchkiss today? i didnt see them! will they be there tomorrow (sunday)? i need a set of their leaf springs for my 68 cuda! i gotta get them SS springs off my car, not good for handling. lol
I was looking for you. Call me at 310-505-4397 tommorrow. You can drive my Cuda after 1:00pm to get a feel of it.
Hotchkis will not be there because they have a once every 3 year Camaro event in AZ.
Hey! I saw you today this morning, with an arm full of parts, running buy. Wasn't able to catch you after that, you were gone!! haha, but I'll be there tomorrow at 8am, I can only stay until about 11, I gotta be back in Gilroy by 5...I will come check out your car though, very generous of you to let me drive it! I woulda loved it. see ya soon buddy! I'm off to bed!
Steve, is that the 360 or the new motor in the Cuda? I was trying to get pics of the how the oil pan fit in there. (And the cool alternator conversion).
Oh, and my first purchase was a bacon wrapped hot dog......
I just keep watching how the sidewall flexes on your tire.
That is the new 416 motor. About 150-200 hp more and even more torque than the 340 "blow by special" I had at Willow Springs last year.
Alternator is off a 88? or so Suzuki Samurai. But I've seen them made to "one wire" on ebay for $85?, IIRC. That was cheaper than rockauto.com for a stock 3 wire.
Got me in trouble the first lap as I was anxious to get on the throttle too soon on the back stretch AND did not hit my mark then lost rear traction....

So are we renaming the Cuda a field Zamboni?
Video looks like you are inside a lawmower!
Did you see all the little dents in the sides (not bottom) ofthe collectors in my new headers?
Now go back and watch the compression of the sway bar end link compare to the lower control arm movement.
Those are Z race BFG comp t/a's. Imagine the flex in a BFG T/A radial in 235/60/15!
I was also watching tie rod angle to the control arm through the curves.
Do you think going to a larger diameter rim and shorter sidewall tires will help your times? (On the paved parts)
