Steering Column help

OK over a year ago I pulled the coulumn out of the 64 Dat, stripped it down, finished it in satin black and installed a new turn signal switch, oput it all back together and stuffed it in the car, however when I put the lower strap on and made sure the notch was i nthe grove the column is loose. I know that there is suppose to be some sort of spacer rubber etc to make it tight against the dash.

Does anyone have a picture a part number where I can get the part to make the fit tight again? Or maybe one for sale for me?

As I recall its a rubber piece you could just cut an inch from a bicycle inner tube and slide it up the column.

Well I recall that it wa rubber, but I would like to have the correct part thanks, maybe someone knows were to buy it at?
