From what my homies told me, Newberry Springs was the Meth capitol of San Berdoo Cnty. That's right down the road. They said it was bad enough that the law abiding folks didn't go out in their yards unless they armed themselves.

So a problem in SD county, relating to housing costs. As most may know, schools get a majority of there funding is from property taxes, and number of enrolled children. the more kids the more money they get from the state. So, you would think with expensive houses there would be good money heading to the schools, right? wrong! Unfortunately the families with lots of kids, cant afford to buy houses in SD county! So the state just keeps a lot of the money raised from property taxes...Most in the county are facing deficits.. It is complex..
