Perfect for the lazy ones, bad for the neighbors.

I'm sure I'll be battling them again in the spring

get a vicious killer to handle the moles ......a cat

I had gophers for a very short time when I was between cats and the old one died and was acquiring my current one.

Once the cat was assigned his gopher assassination orders, it didn't take long to be rid of them.

Prairie dogs, rabbits, mice, gophers, snakes, all disappeared once the cat was settled into town.

another thing I do to get rid of burrowing creatures ....find the hole, get a flexible PVC tube and run it down the hole as far as possible without jamming it in and then run some pool chlorine down the tube. Like the powder stuff and then run water down after the powder and then cover the hole.

The chlorine gases are deadly. Works very effectively.

You know, I remember you telling me that before. I did tell Sue, but we never tried it last season. Sue keeps plenty of Chlorine for her pool. She IS the pool operator !! We will definitely try that this year.

Funny story. When I was about 10 my Dad decided he was going to get rid of the moles in our yard. It was about 200' by 300' on 2 sides of the house. We had tunnels and holes everywhere. His idea was to pour gasoline down each of the holes and light them one at a time. Well when he lit the first one we started to have little explosions all through the yard including next to the house (poof...poof....poof,poof,poof) I can still see him stomping like a mad man yelling at the top of his lungs at me....get the hose...GET THE G.. D... HOSE! We laughed for years at that one.

So what did I miss today? I had off site training, which is nice to be able to get away from the norm and listen to seminars and going to the trade show.. Tomorrow is back to the grind.

What was the training on?

Our Energy Co. puts on numerous shows each year. Most of it has to to with ways to save electricity or natural gas. So they have speakers come in from all over the US to talk to us about things like LED lighting and how to design it for our application. Or commissioning our existing mechanical equipment so that it functions as it was designed and isnt causing us to use more energy to heat or cool an area.. Boring to most people, but being the Chief Engineer and making sure the College Campus is running smooth and efficient I get a kick out of some of the ideas..

Sounds cool to me. I am not sure about the new move. I still like the old iridescent 100 watters. Can't even find them anymore. My garage is too cold for florescent.

You guys still drinking coffee? You won't sleep for a week. I have declared it a Revel Stoke night.
