Building fires is an art....

I like to restart them the next morning without trying to use any paper/cardboard and start with thin sticks and gradually going to larger diameter sticks/branches until it lights again from the embers...

Like pretending that I'm stuck on an island and trying to conserve my matches because I only have one pack and I don't know how long I will be stranded and need to save matches for future fires....
No, it means you are cheap!:lol:

Well the first riverland storage mud bog competition is done. One truck against 5 pontoon boats and a camper. Truck won.
I had to move a few things with my little kubota, those rice tires are amazing. In forward. But suck in reverse. Sinks but cuts through the mud. Big cleanup in spring. Power rake and harrow will take care of it.

Tim arrived about 10 am and by 10:30 we had the car loaded. Then we loaded up the rest of the parts and secured it all for the ride. He left around 1 pm headed West. He is happy, and so am I.

He was thinking he might stop here heading back, but not gonna. Must have just left there when he called. I guess he figured its early enough to put some miles behind him yet today. Probably crossing the Mississippi about now the way he drives. :steering:

Check out my Wood! Got everything in one pile now except 2 chunks of Cherry I might slab cut. Need to borrow the neighbors splitter. I have most of what I will burn this year still in the stack left from last year. So I might have 3+ years worth now. Need to get it stacked and dry so it aint all rotted by then
