My stepmother gave her son Poa and living will to her son. My dad gave me his. It was sad to take my dad to the hospital everyday to just see how he was dying a little each day right with her. He was powerless to do anything. Her son didn't have the stomach to honor her wishes. After she passed. I came home about two weeks later to find my dad who moved in with us had passed away. Broken hearted I guess.

Well we do the best we can with our folks. Dad had an appointment with his attorney then didn't show up. In the end he'll be remembered for all the good he did and the people he helped, not that he left his affairs in disorder.

And yeah, children are always left to clean up the untidy details left at the end of the magnificent lives of their parents. It's the least we can do to repay all the sacrifices they made while bring us up to be responsible adults. :)
