Stop in for a cup of coffee

I really think your best bet at this point is to take it off brackets and all and simply cut them with a die grinder (assuming you have air)

Well here is an opinion question. I was looking at taking the bracket off. And the bumper shocks. I see guys will drill a hole in them and drain the oil and push the bumper in closer to the body. That way it being a 1975 doesn't look so odd with the bumpers way out there. Should I do it?

it is a cleaner look...

I never heard of draining the oil and squishing them, but it should work. I like tight bumpers, especially the rear one..

Mine were shot I just took them apart and welded them together. On a dart it does not look right with the bumper filler, but a Duster it looks great in my opinion. You do not have to drill them there is a stud that holds them together just take the nut off and take the fluid and spring out.

Wonder if you can put a shotgun primer in them and fill it with powder and if you get hit it would just blow the bumper back into the assaulting vehicle and save your ***!

we feed the birds here - a good sized feeder and a suet cage - keep 'em going year 'round.. little birds attract big birds - falcons, hawks.. so cool to see a bird of prey sitting in a tree or munching something in the back yard

Im Keeping mine as they were. If I was going to bring the bumper in, I would make brackets and eliminate the absorbers to save a lot of weight. Check out: DusterDaddy is making brackets from the inner bumper and eliminating much of it also. His s 74, so only had absorbers on back.

It's a wonder the government didn't stick you in a think tank and feed you problems when they had you. How do you think this stuff up? What primers would you suggest?

We get bears with the feeders so the birds kind of stay away. We do get blue herrings in the pond usually all summer eating the minnow's!

209's work great for projects.

It is illegal for me to own a lathe also!
