Just great...
As I figured, I had to order a valve cover gasket. Autozone will have it sometime Tuesday. So just put the plugs in and went back to my original plan for today... Did a cleaning pass over the whole car with compound. Polishing now. Taking a break. Hot and humid here. We had a downpour a little while ago and then the sun came right back. No garden watering tonight. 
A little windy on the front end, but mainly just dumped rain for about half an hour.

And the granite ridge we live on takes out another one. The atmosphere is capped at 2000’ so the storms can’t get enough lift to hold together when they hit the ridge.
From a big bad thundedstorm to a whimper in half an hour. All we got was 0.07” of rain...not even enough to water the weeds. The side walks are already dry.
Here is the radar progression and you can see it happen. The red pin is our neighborhood.
The neighbors lawns are all complete toast now. I’m afraid to even smoke a cigarette near them...

Checked the battery voltage on the 300 C this morning at it was holding at 12.55 volts. Figure it was about 90% charged from yesterday so I took it on a one hour run today. Will check voltage again tomorrow and see, but my sense is the battery is fine. I just let it run too low while it was sitting.

Yeah, we are getting killed by lack of rain here. Sucks.
I keep watching the forecasts hoping for something to break this spell. Until then, we water the important landscaping and wait.

It really was pretty. I just sat on the bench and watched it progress for half an hour.
Getting happy along with a couple of smoked rib eyes. I blew the budget on those two.

Mae grilled a couple cheaper steaks tonight. She wasn't even sure what cut they were supposed to be. But they were good, so that's all that matters when they are gone. LOL

I just checked the radar. That colorful cloud in the sunset pic is another storm cell trying to get here. I am quite certain that it won’t make it.

I could see one in the sky to the south yesterday that was a hour or so way. You could see the anvil forming. It was fun to watch.
