good catch - didn't notice it.. like the move, now when he brings it up again you'll be armed and ready
Hey Mike, there was an extra k on the end of your Scat Pack link. Here it is:

http://www.ontariostreetcar.com/2013/09/02/chrysler-re-trademarks-scat-pack-moniker/

Thanks! I had a conversation on Facebook with a guy who wanted a complete scat pack line-up in his driveway. I didn't know what he meant and I didn't want to expose my ignorance so I asked here in stead. :D

There is a solid state one that replaces the breaker point style. Supposed to be much better. I used on in the Road Runner Build.

That's prob what he means, it opens and closes. I am using a ss type reg inside the box for the battery, Should be fine.

Morning SLS and M1!

so my friends - I am getting ready to start putting that 360 together - I cleaned the heads off yesterday and the intake gaskets were ON there - some kind of red sealant, anyone know what it was? Reminded me of that Indian Head shellac stuff, but I don't remember that stuff being red...

no - had to bring them to the engine guy to have it cc'ed and he gave them back without comment - - he was good about eveything so I would have expected him to say something if he thought they were an issue

I am thinking to hold the gaskets on to cc them other than that I am at a loss. Kind of strange.

they are Edelbrock aluminum heads - good to go. He cc'ed the chambers and did the math knowing the piston volume etc. and head gasket size - the gaskets I am talking about are the intake ones.. I remember I had a ***** of a time getting the intake to come up when I was disassembling it.
I am assuming he magna fluxed them for cracks?

very good, thanks all - I have read that Permatex is the way to go - just hit their website.. that Indian Head sealant is a Permatex product.. who knew..

I got some of that with a pan gasket a while ago I totally forgot about it . Works well also

I need to get going the rehab on the couch is not doing much so might as well hit it.

Saw some chatter here about the limiter pulse this AM. I am still not sure where all it is an issue, but I think your solid state reg is going to work on most gauges. Looks like early A's and later Ralleys (Mitch) have the reg built into the fuel gage. Those will have 3 posts. Not sure if your tester will work right or not. Here is one of the threads: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=124556&highlight=Gauge+fuel+limiter
