I'm flattered. Swedes in general speak English pretty well. We all learn it in school from grade 3 up to 11 or 12 or 13, depending on how long you choose to attend high school ('gymnasium', not mandatory). Only nine years of school are technically mandatory but if you only do nine years nowadays, you'll have a pretty hard time finding a job.
When I grew up we lived in Canada for one year. I was 14 and already spoke English to some extent but being there, going to ordinary Canadian school, I got a thorough understanding of the language.
It's been thirty years now, though, so I'm rusty. My vocabulary is significantly smaller and I'm hesitant to use some expressions. Prepositions are more difficult, too.
