Morning!
It is in fact, Friday!
Think i better deal with the mess in the shop,at least find the floor.
Bonus if i haul the trash, and deliver the drum of used oil.

I’d have to ask, when did the get the policy and I’d demand to look at the riders. Insurance companies can’t simply change the terms after an event. That said, it’s possible they put that in there but rare.

AARP had an interesting take on it as well
FAQs About Insurance Claims Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

I said it mostly to let people know that due to the ruling, that family didn't get what should have been paid out. Many companies have underwritings like this....property damage due to war, terrorism, riots, etc. Many are not getting the reimbursement that the mainstream media likes to point out.

I understand the thought, but consider a different perspective.

I have stage 4 cancer and have been given 6 months to live. I walk down the road and get run over by a truck and killed.

What did I die from?

It wasn’t the cancer...it was from being run over by the truck.

Because I might have died from something else is irrelevant. What killed me is what actually happened. To state otherwise is like saying people dying of old age weren’t killed by electrocution from the toaster accidentally falling into the bath tub since they were already dying of old age.

Dave,

I totally understand what you are saying. Not apples for apples though. Electrocution and getting hit by a truck or what not, isn't someone sick, dying because they are sick - cancer or not. Prior to this Covid, if you were dying of cancer and succumbed to the flu or pneumonia, would it have been listed that you died from cancer or being sick, I don't know. Now with monetary value in stating COVID, it seems to be the go-to. It makes good business sense, why not get paid if that is truly what they died of, despite already dying. Maybe died of cancer with covid complications. Just stating my thoughts. I will drop it.

Good Morning and happy Friday. Cooling off here starting today and some light snow through the weekend. Going to pick up a 68 Coronet front fender today. Need the headlight structures for the Charger build. Will be looking for another....not sure which side this one is until later. Hope all is well out there.

Despite being clear, no Northern Lights that I could see last night.

It's Flamin' Friday!

Goooood morning :D

Off to drive Miss Daisy around today. I have some stuff to pick up at fastenal and want to also go to the surplus place I go to for some metal to make a mock up to mount a ECU to on the distrib machine to actually test them to see where they actually rev to. Full day here for sure. Then tomorrow Timmys transmission will be delivered by OMR and that will be a day of show and tell on old cars around here.

Sounds like a fun day. Ours will be a lot more boring. lol

Think i will spend a little time under the truck today, all the nuts on front suspension are loose, and they arent lock nuts. So will replace them, and snug them up. I wanted to wait until truck was pretty much complete, so suspension was at normal ride height. I think it is now.

Get R dun....

I have a heart condition, not life threatening, but if i get covid it could be. So if it takes me due to an underlying condition is it still covid? Dam right! I would still be around if i didnt get it.

sure it is harder on vulnerable people, the elderly, diabetic and all other types of health issues. But without covid, most would live to die of more or less natural causes.

going into month 2 of lockdown and numbers arent really dropping, know why? complacency. Its not the ones that actually undestand the consequences that are spreading it.

A community not far from here had big numbers per capita, because the church refused to follow public health orders. And the reeve of the community was heading anti- mask protests. Hes still bucking the health ministers orders.
Were on month 9 and it’s actually starting to go the other way, we barely had any cases until Halloween, then bam, most per captia in the country

true but I sold insurance for Farmers Group for nearly 3 years, I never saw a policy with a pandemic underwriter.
Also, from what I understand, Congress in the first coronavirus bill made it to where insurances had to cover Covid related items, including health and life. I’m gonna have to check with that one. I’ll text my old regional manager for Farmers, he’ll know.

My sister drives a city bus in Salem OR. She just had her third contact, she's negative but the other driver who she had "contact" with took out a bunch of drivers. I'd think she would have gotten it from passengers first since their are plenty of mental handicapped who take their masks off during the ride. Anyhoo, her work just extended their pay protection adding another 80 hours of paid time if there is an exposure and a driver has to self quarantine.

It is getting really bad. I did a will you take a shot thread to see what others are thinking.
