I waited on Mr. Aaron a couple of times in Atlanta, he had charisma. I served Mrs. Aaron too, separately, I think they were separated maybe. Anyway she looked just like Jiminy Cricket.
Goooood morning Pete !! It's a sunny day here on the hill (as I set drinking coffee quietly, Treva is sleeping in this morning.. Have a grand day my friend, Keith sure kept me busy on my visit..lol
Well, i better get on with it, chatting with a buddy, hes going logging today. Going to run a wood forwarder. 8 wheel drive with a grapple. He gets to play with all kinds of big machines. I get to weld, grind and fill..
One done, one piece left to weld on. Today m setting up the flir,to document heat travel while welding. Curious minds they say...
When the body shop did my 66 they used a wire feed that uses brazing wire. And he still got some warping. Not bad though.
Silicon bronze wire. Lower melting point, and weld wont rust. And maybe more malleable. There will be warpage, the whole idea is to minimize it. I brazed panels on,way back when, cooling with wet rags as i went. Could feel the metal pull as it cooled. Tried heat shrinking back then too, could never get it. Now i think i could. And now its a shrinking disc, mounted on a grinder. Should look into getting one.
