Stop in for a cup of coffee

Geez. Just watched the tail end of the City Council Budget presentation that my wife puts on. They are supposed to vote to OK the budget for next year. Well, I don't think they did. One of the councilmen wanted to table it which is either a 4 hour recess or start the whole process all over again on Saturday. My wife got up to the podium almost in tears and asked that they needed to vote on the budget because she has personal things going on and she might not be here on Saturday. I looked at the screen and the gavel went down and the tv screen went blank. I don't know what they voted on. Sorry, rant over.

I'll post a link to the Youtube video as soon as it's available. The city has a aprox. !75 million budget and my wife works 60-80 hours a week through the year. She works her tail off for the citizens and the employees. I think it's time she find a different position somewhere else. She could work half as much and get paid as much. (the pay isn't really an issue)

Thanks for the proverb Dad

LOL!

It's actually one that I remind myself of when the World seems upside down and I'm not sure how things are going to turn out.

I have to remind myself to take a deep breath and have faith that the Universe will unfold the way it should and all things will eventually come to equal...even if I can't see it now.

Nature can't abide extremes and disorder, it must (and will) find it's way back to harmony and order.

Sounds like your assessment is spot-on. Time to get out of the extremes of political disorder and find a more comfortable place to be. Most places have their own level of insanity, but some are far more extreme.

If the extreme circumstance becomes toxic to your personal well-being, it's time to leave.

Didn't mean to be a Debbie Downer. Where did everybody go?

I'm still here...:)

I was just waiting for more conversation to start. :)

I took a brief detour over to the CF where they were debating the extinction of the self driver of automobiles in the future.

They like to procrastinate the hard decisions that will loose them votes in the next election to try to make themselves look better....

I read some astrology stuff pertaining to this new moon and it said pretty much this ^^^

On a happy note, my birthday was surprisingly great. It was one of those days when all the lights were green, so to speak. And then my sister called to say she and my niece rescued some writings of my Grandma's and Great-Grandma's, from my Dad's attic. Their sentimental value is priceless...I thought they were lost amid the chaos, so I am ecstatic.

Oh Keith, thanks for that Frosty the snowman card. One of my favorite Christmas songs/shows.

Ben Drinkin got here and is on his way home.

Great to meet him, very good guy.

I feel for you and your wife.

Any night owls still left?

Good morning! Another beautiful day in Scandinavia. And it's friday! :occasion:

And it's Friday! :occasion: - - and TGIF too! been raining off and on all night here - thankfully the ground has thawed and the "pool" shouldn't be an issue - I'll know better when it gets a little lighter out there...

Good morning. Just a bit of drizzle/mist here. I actually want some heavy rain to test the Duster for leaks. I've been chasing them down since I started working on it. Ive done every seal, flange etc and am down to a trickle near the gas pedal. I think I found it the other day. One of the screws that holds insulation mat on inside of firewall was right in lin up behind the wiper motor. Sealed that, so I shall see.

g'morning Keith - washing the car doesn't net the same result?

No, not unless I really waste some water. Lol. I rarely wash it, since the paint is crap. Although, I may do that since I am thinking I may do the drivers tomorrow. I got a good buffer over a year ago and have never used it. Got polish yesterday, so think I will shine up the Magnum.

we've got 49 here - warm considering the time of the year and how far north we are.. right on the VT border in Ma. - well, time to make the day happen.. calling in sick comes to mind as an option.. but I won't... I'll save that for the really nice weather... LOL - cya later...

Ye, save the sick days for when you ned them. I'm in early today. Early in, early out, early start to the weekend... Supposed to get nice later. Maybe even washthe cars today, detail tomorrow. Maybe.

Good morning working men, waiting on my first cup to start this friday off.
