Stop in for a cup of coffee

it's the one thing that has me scratching my head right now - - what to do about a carburetor..my engine guy said mechanical secondaries - of course the Demon I have is vacuum --- :violent1:

No, vacuum secondary is fine for street.

Get the holley vacuum return spring kit and put the short yellow spring in the secondary pod so they open sooner....

No problem...

It is eye tearing rich at idle and has a bog when I step on it. Pulled the rods and they need to be thinned out along with the jets. Of course one of the springs fell hit the windage tray and then into no find land.

Try fishing for it with a magnet on a stick.... :pale:

Gone tried that and also the air trick nado, nothing, lost no biggie though they prob had to be changed anyhow since they are 7hg I think I need 5hg springs for the rods.

Anders that is a BIG carb. It is on a worked 440 and might be to large for your set up. Like I said I do not know small blocks well. Karl is the answer man with them..

That is a 750 competition manual choke. Not sure what makes it competition think it is larger secondary venturies.

nice - a 600 will make a stockish small block work well.. I was told with the stroke, bore and cam combo I have that a 750 double pumper was the way to go..no doubt the 950 that was on there is (and was) WAY too much! LOL
Yeah, I kind of thought so myself after a little reading so I got a 600 Holley that I've refurbished.

What type 950?

Anders here is a rebuild link for the 9755 if you ever need it follow the 1411 guide, should be the same.

Well, I need to cc my heads. I have no idea what sCR I have so I really don't know anything. I know the block is a 0.030 over 360.
