I do not put RTV around the water ports any longer. I use this..

I have found the silicon gets in the radiator and plugs the tubes..
AND the two pins should be removed, IMO. Keeps the manifold from seating, sometimes...

I will not use any kind of silicone except Black RTV. Stuff is great...did you know silicon was designed to replace gaskets on GM vehicles? Lowered production costs. Yep no gaskets on some areas.

man I was only out in the garage yesterday for 5 hours. in those 5 hours it went from sunny around 70, to rain, then hail, then flurries, to full on snow. today it is sunny and is supposed to be 58.from an old buddy in @shittyslant6 's neighborhood

Back in the 70's the guys at Timers car club did that kind of thing.But from the dealers that sold perf cars.They would have the swap done in 3 hours or less.Engines,or a trans,or a diff, what ever they needed...

@halifaxhops just saw the ad for adjustable prop valve. Gave me an awesome idea,i have adjustable hydraulic control valves. Think im going to splice one in. Can always undo it.
