I met Mickey Thompson when he was racing this one at the desert race in Barstow. Heck the tech inspection and impound area was like 5 blocks from home
Just to say Hi to somebody famous kinda meeting. My dad tells me later that he sold his last lakester to Mickey when he joined the USN and Mickey was still in high school.

I spent part of yesterday afternoon helping a friend remove a hood ornament from his newly acquired Transfer dump truck. A Swan on the hood of a Peterbuilt

I don't know what it was about them 307s, but it made the 283s look good

Working on that panel, i want it to seal out the elements as it can leak fumes into passenger compartment.
My brain keeps changing plans. And now i think hood hinges may be an issue, so im gonna go ahead and continue without test fitting the hood. Thats called beercad…beer case assisted design
