I didn't want to fix food so Chinese it is. Chicken and Vegetables and a side of Crab Rangoon. Yumm! A $20 meal that feeds 3 of us.

Back reading this morning, and saw this about the boats. I had boats ever since I was around 18 years old. First one was a little 15 ft fiberglass flat bottom with the 70 horsepower Johnson. The second one was a 19-ft Aristocraft, with the sliding hardtop, with a straight 250. 6 cylinder Chevrolet, Mercruiser Then I got a chance to buy a Wellcraft. Was a 23 Nova. 260 horsepower small block Chevrolet through a Mercruiser outdrive. Of course, being the tinkerer that I am I had to up the power. I built a 500 horsepower 383 cubic inch Chevrolet small block stroker motor for it. Of course I had to upgrade the Mercruiser outdrive with stainless steel gears and all the heavy duty stuff. I added through transom exhaust as well. Was loud and ran very well. Was a great boat around the Chesapeake Bay. Sold that boat around 1994 to build a swimming pool at my house. Got much more use out of the swimming pool. Lol

Kevin Harvick's Place for Fun almost Bakersfield. Big drawback to KCRP, it's in the middle of frickin' nowhere.
The now closed Bakersfield Speedway was just on the outskirts of town. Just down the street was a great BBQ joint and

Just watching Roadworthy Rescues and he did a 40 Chev gasser with Freiburger and they drove off to the Santa Maria airport to do a short drag race, your neck of the woods? They started in Lompoc CA at the Hotrod Ranch to work on the gasser, then went to the airport to race Freiburger's 56 Chev I think @Unconventional

Those big Euc trees were right on the fence line of the airport, the drag strip being on airport property. It was not in operation when I moved up here in '80. My native friends from here told me they had nitro match races there on occasion. The track I raced go karts on is in that same portion of the airport. If they started in Lompton/Lompoc they passed right by Vandenberg SFB.
