Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well, today just sucked...

I'm done for the day. Can't get the engine to start

Have spark

Cranks but doesn't "fire"

Fuel is squirting

Pulled the plugs to let them dry out. They're soaked.

Open to thoughts

Using a spark tester? How did the spark look?

Move the pillars, weld the back doors, install 2 door glass? Basicly convert to 2 door?
Uncle Tony has videos of converting something from 4 to 2 door on youtube.

oops! forgot to delete this...also a good way to make a two door station wagon...
front of the motor back together... my addiction to silicone is bad :( timing cover on a small block sucks while in car.. Waiting on the new balancer which won't be here til like wed prolly...

Also... how can i disassemble an entire car.. clean and paint every inch.. and somehow still be dirty as hell working on it?
a friend's Dad could change the plugs on a six year mid-70's 440 Imperial and his hands would only be dusty. No, he did not wear gloves. his son would check the oil on a small block Chevelle with a rebuilt engine and look like he arm wrestled in grease.

I don't wear gloves when I turn wrenches either. Have better feel without them. My friends are always saying how clean my hands are while doing work. But I admit that I will wash them a few times during the job. Just don't like dirty greasy hands......

I used to have a young kid (21) here all the time at my shop, wanting to do this or that with his cars and also learn. Tried to teach him about keeping a clean work space and hands as he was working. Hard as I tried, it didn't sink in. Everything he touched in the shop was dirty or greasy, including the tools of course. Walls, switches, bathroom, slop sink, lift posts...etc...Aghhhhh...Finally he got married and moved away...Whew.....

wonder if his wife straightened him out or if she follows him around with soap and paper towels

put new plugs in and give it a try
Worth a shot

I blocked it all up before I pulled the transmission and checked clearance. It was OK.

Only thing that was moved was the starter solenoid on the firewall.
Ran the test voltages and resistance in the mopar troubleshooting guide. Found a bad ground that fixed one test (12v tested at the ignition box plug), but still getting 317 ohms at both the 4 and 5 and the distributor pigtail when I'm supposed to have a 350 - 550 range

Selling cars on marketplace is such a pita. Lowball offers wanting more photos, and wasting time. This 54 jag is a big car, every square inch needs to be gone over, lots of metal work. I was searcing the web, cheapest car i found comparable, a little nicer but equally ratty interior was 17,000 euros. It seems almost a rare car here in canada

I took a little road trip to that car show in Pismo Beach, not that I would be able to see many of the show cars  . I have seen it crazy up there before, but this had the previous beat. CROWDED! The scenery was nice at that bumper to bumper pace on Pacific Coast Highway/ main street through town. When I got to the edge of the mesa that separates our valley from theirs, I could see the dense frogs following the beach. Sure as life when I got up there, the left side of PCH was froggy and the right side was sunny . One hour trip there and back took me three hours  Saw some nice Rods, little '64 Malibu going down PCH uncorked :lol:. Fun time :D

Tach wire to coil shorted? Wires pinched/corrosion in connector on passenger side behind the block?
