Stop in for a cup of coffee

My neighbors are going to lose their internet and any 'land line'. The FiOS junction box is open and wires hanging out. No idea who did it but it was a person not a critter to snap open those buckles. I suggested they call Verizon but not my problem.
Can't imagine why someone would do that. :BangHead:

Same here, it's crazy eh, rain and heat makes grass grow faster then wild fire spreads.
Today's temps hit a high of 96, no rain today so I will be mowing under the trees and picking up wind fall as I go, hoping to get the front northeast corner done by 11 thirty (as seen behind this old picture from 7 years ago behindmy boat that has not been mowed this year ) . Good morning Pete.

That's a cool old boat.

I think if you could get it to run and drive you would have fun driving it around.
Frank, I got extra parts Carbs, Distibutors, and bunch of stuff. I have an extra radiator that I haven't look to see what shape its in.
Figure out what you need to get it running and I might be able to help on parts.
Thanks Fred! First is get it home, see if i can clean up the cab and fill cyls with MMO. Owner was going to get it running until someone stole the rad cap/mascot and he was so upset he lost interest in it. When i helped him sell the Jag he gave me the truck.

And splicing fiber is not as easy as clipping on a couple of Scotchlocks.
I went to a free class to learn this Mike, and your right, way more then I expected, I got an invite from two fellow electricians I worked with back in the day, Terry and I backed out on the first day as they explained the process and showed the small trailers we would have to ourselves to work out of, nope, my old brain and confidence was not up to it

I bought all new registers for our rental. The original ones were dented, cruddy, and rusted. Too much work to try to revive them. Nothing a couple hundred bucks didn't fix. I am about half done with the base trim. I hope to finish up today.

Thank you, it's a restoration thing I have going, I cut out a new hood for it and completed the bottom, I will get pictures up, it's a 58 feather craft Rocket, rated for 45hp outboard at a wopping 11' 10" long.

Keep us posted and pictures when you get it cleaned up.
I think I have an extra Radiator cap, but after you get everything sorted out You'll have to come down and grab a pile of parts you need. I want to get rid of all the parts I have so you can have whatever you need. I have some repair manuals you can have.

Maybe they'll make a they'll make a Netflix series about it...

Morning!
Chilly here this morning.
Clear skies, so it will be hot again. Likely staying here and chilling all day, doing nothing is not as difficult as i thought..
I went with the ladies to check out the ship they will be cruising on in 178 days. It happened to be in port yesterday. Coincidence, maybe? Or careful planning? Im not asking..
There is no parking plan downtown for the show, like its not designed for spectators. Probably 1/2 mile to a mile walk for the show, and trying to see 1000 cars with my sciatica should be an interesting day.
Thu the cars from the states roll off the ferry. Friday evening they cruise the harbour. Sat is a poker run. Sunday is the show.
Hope i can make it through this.

I wish I was but I wouldn't want to go through what you did to get there.
It’s actually gotten better. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you what my doctor prescribed to help with the drowning feeling while eating

Thanks Mike. I'm no carpenter and espe3cially not a finish carpenter. LOL A power miter saw really helps with the cutting and a cordless brad nailer is the slickest way to attach the stuff. I sneak up on the length. I cut it close and then take the piece back out to the saw to trim it closer. You can't make a piece longer once you cut it off too short.

Like I always say, "I cut it twice and it's still too short":rofl:

Sounds like a fun filled weekend. Sciatica sucks!

Just get out the Flex Seal Tape  As seen on TV
Lmao lol and all that, I did it right as the Feather Craft Boaing page suggests, I am glad that's behind me, it was upside down for 2 weeks, let's see if I can find a picture, we'll, no completed pictures, that trailer is a 59 Gator trailer that's been with the boat , had a great offer on it from that web page from Oklahoma, turned it down.
