Got the trimming done. Well, as done as it's going to be. I can always go back and find areas to touch up after a few days. I would like to get the lawn mowed here. Chance of rain Saturday so it's today or tomorrow. I should be able to finish the base trim at the other house in an afternoon and I can do that any day. Whiskey club tonight. Looks like single Malt night. (que John) @Sublime one
Cedar Ridge Quintessential from just down the road an hour from here. "Today, we’re looking at a special release of Cedar Ridge single malt which appears to undergo a slightly different maturation. Like their other malts, this one is made from 100% 2-row pale malted barley, but it has been aged significantly longer, six years, in ex-bourbon casks. In lieu of the solera style vatting, the final blend here is a mix of that six-year-old single malt aged in first-fill Ruby Port, first-fill Amontillado sherry, and first-fill virgin French oak casks. Let’s check it out." The next 2 are from Westland (Seattle) and finished in Brand and Sherry and the other in Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon casks. It should be a good night. Of course there are usually a dozen other bottles brought by the members to share. You can't sample them all that's for sure.
