Stop in for a cup of coffee

U saw that earlier and immediately looked for 64 Dodge shirts.

I was never into early B bodies but I have a friend trying to sell me a 63 fury. Cool car but I'm not sure how easy parts are to find and it's kinda foreign to me because I've always been mainly A body 67 to 73

So is been like 6 or 7 years since my last electronic ignition conversation.

If I remember right a 1 ohm single row ballast resistor should do the job.... right?

I'm using all stock factory parts

Depends on the setup. My 64 is rolling a dual pin resistor with the new wiring harness.

Adding the distributor pigtail was simple. There's kits

I have the stock slant electronic dizzy and the new harness.

The voltage regulator looks like an old mechanical one but that's only looks, it's the later style internally and stock coil

VR was unchanged as well as the coil. I did go to a high vibration coil because it's horizontal.

Pretty sure it's the distributor pickup and pigtail going to the ECU that changes

Ok, so educate me on the coil.

It makes a difference how its mounted, like vertical or horizontal.

I think most slant sixes are vertical

Yes..

Standard coil is oil filled. There's some risk when mounted horizontal that the contacts inside would be out of the oil and cooling. The high vibration coils remove that risk.

My slant coil was on the fender.

That is interesting because I took that coil off a fury parts car i have and most big blocks are mounted horizontal from the factory

63 furies are one of the best bodies mopar ever made... Parts aren't too bad to get for 63, for 62 it's pretty bad. Almost anything you would need could be asked for on FBBO and you would find a place or someone with the part.. very good people for that over there (pretty boring otherwise though) Although they actually help each other without it turning into a slap fight :)

Any pics? specs? local to me? :) I don't need another car but would love a 63...

Those vertical turn signals make me feel funny inside... plus a near perfect roofline (other than the 64 polara which has the best roofline of all mopars..

Early B's are something I have never owned and something I wanted before I get too old. I am really enjoying my Polara.

Morning!
Nice morning, watched a lightning storm pass by last night, glad it missed us. Today i go work on the 50 dodge, get it running for my friend’s memorial.
His son in law that i never met will be hanging out while i work on it. I was hoping to be left alone..
