Brian, Mitch’s ex brother in law. He pulled in 25 1/2”So who landed the biggest fish.
What is the minimum keeper length out there now?Brian, Mitch’s ex brother in law. He pulled in 25 1/2”
Right now anything under 18 goes back or over 25 goes back. So even though Bryans fish went back, They all still deemed him the winner of the $5 pool....What is the minimum keeper length out there now?
It was only fair.Right now anything under 18 goes back or over 25 goes back. So even though Bryans fish went back, They all still deemed him the winner of the $5 pool....
I recall growing up, the Stripers (Rockfish) seemed HUGE... Blues as well. One fish fed our family of 5.Right now anything under 18 goes back or over 25 goes back. So even though Bryans fish went back, They all still deemed him the winner of the $5 pool....
Was the size restrictions bigger then?I recall growing up, the Stripers (Rockfish) seemed HUGE... Blues as well. One fish fed our family of 5.
Wasn't really a thing... or at least that I remember. Stripers were plentiful. Only thing we had to pay attention to were lobster sizes.Was the size restrictions bigger then?

Stripers = Rockfish
I was a little North, but could see Montauk from the beach in RI on a good day
Same sameIt was throwing me off today when they were called rockfish. I know rockfish as a different type.
The size restrictions are constantly changing. I think you catch the big ones later in the fall. I have caught 40 inchers before....Always new rules and changing rules..I recall growing up, the Stripers (Rockfish) seemed HUGE... Blues as well. One fish fed our family of 5.

My grandfather had a 30-foot boat out on the Pacific Ocean in Washington State that I fished on. Pulled a few big ones in. My biggest that I got in the boat on a fishing pole was a 35 pound king salmon. Grand father got a 75 pound king.
Best thing I ever caught was a seagull. That grabbed my bait as I was reeling my line in, the damn bird grabbed my bait and started to fly off. I released the tension on the pole and let him get air born. Damn bird swallowed the bait and hook. I was sky fishing! I reeled him in and cut the line. Strong wings they have and it **** all over the boat.
