I received this today. Not original so it fits me.

I been under my Scamp dashboard today fixing the arm to the right windshield wiper. Both end bushings were the original bushings and the only ones I didn't replace when I restored the car. I should of replaced them before I put the car back together. :BangHead:

You need good wipers so you can see, and don't end up in the ditch.

Plastic bushing that were designed to last 10 years lasted 25 or longer. Aftermarket made to OEM specs last a couple to 3 years. Everybody and his brother says aftermarket bushings are junk. Truth is, the fault is in the pivot posts. Not only is the left pivot being shoved around by the motor but it drives the right pivot too.
The 67 model still has bronze bushing everywhere. I had to take her left pivot completely apart and replace a severely worn shaft with donor from a good used right pivot.
If you haven't renewed your pivots, mark them with a sharpie b4 removing. Rotate 90 degrees at reinstall. Ride on a less worn side of their internal bushings. That worked well in our 73. Smooth and quiet.
For the sake of knowledge, search similar replacement parts for any other brands wiper linkage. Dorman has 1 other maybe. Most wiper drives are outdoors where they belong. Entire assemby is replaced when needed.
Those under the penastar go under the dash with bandaids. Happy moparing? Not always

Good to know and thanks for the info. I try not to drive it in the rain but ya know how that is.

Got walls fastened as good as they are going to be. Treated plywood bottom foot overlapping to the “form boards”
Such a stupid setup, other option is demo and rebuild. Should last another 20 or 25 years.
