Stop in for a cup of coffee

Then I found the problem after the battery cable got hot.

So i fixed it with a new cable but now there's no spark again and what do you know, ran out of weekend

Anybody ever been to a Scheels store? My neice in Mountain Home told us about this sporting goods Disneyland store, like a Cabelas on steroids
My wife and I were at one in Springfield, IL. a local suggested we stop there. great idea! stocked up om red pepper relish, a new cooler and other stuff. wish we had one closer.

Forgot..
Morning!
Another sunny day, breezy though. Fighting to get lumber fastened to concrete, thats finally done. Those Tapcon screws are junk. They are so brittle, every 3rd one breaks.

Not really much of a pool party kind of summer. Got a new job and it hasn't left much time for that.

But I did recently have vacation time and drove to New Mexico for a 2 door valiant

Super congrats on the new gig! Hope it is working out as you had hoped. Clearly you are still disease stricken like the rest of us if you are dragging home more projects!

So far the best job I've ever had, I won't say what it is exactly here but I will say it's with the government but excempt of political drama so I really like it.

The disease got stronger when I started resorting to leaving my state and now I'm getting cars from surrounding states lol

I like the drive down to new Mexico and it was a scenic drive because the car was located at around 7800 feet.

I couldn't wait to get back to my state, we had to stop and take a Pic

Wild horses along the road? Good solid cars from southwest. My Polara originally came from NM.

Several hours later after the starter only clicked and I even thought the starter was bad, nothing helped. I jumped the starter in the car and it only clicked and then I thought the engine was too hard to turn so I pulled the starter back off the mounting and still wouldn't turn.

So I replaced the battery cable terminals and nothing, same behavior

Have to share one. Guy named Dennis owned, operated tire/auto service. Drove long bed Chevy pu. We got about 6 inches of snow with near inch of ice in top. He shoved most of his driveway into the back of the truck. That weigh meant traction.
This kind of weather is not normal in these parts. We were rocking with chains, studded M&S. That Chevy wouldn't start. We didn't have time to shovel it out. Pushing it inside was a real chore. Nobody found more than a minute or 2 to look at including Dennis. So it sits, cargo melting in 1st bay. No lunch break that day. I stopped for another cup of coffee and, "what's up with your truck man? We need that bay."
No spark.
After a few minutes I fired it up, opened the showroom door and tossed the condenser to him. "You need 1 of those." All he had was, "back it out". I was MIA the next day.

Usually they are solid but this one must have come from somewhere else because it needs a floor under the dash and front seat and behind the rear bumper is crusty.

It's not as nice as the pics make it look. In fact it's one of the rustiest cars I've ever bought, but

I knew what it is before buying.
It was cheap, like 5 hundred bucks cheap.
I have two 4 door parts cars to help it out.
It's a 2 door valiant which Im pretty sure they didn't make very many in the first place and I don't often come by them.

So I'm jumping into this project head first.
