Found a lady that makes blankets out of t- shirts. I have a stack of ones from my military time that I'm going to have done. Should be cool and clear up storage space to boot.
Nothing like a good blanket. My Mom made one for each of us for Christmas so I have some neat blanketsFound a lady that makes blankets out of t- shirts. I have a stack of ones from my military time that I'm going to have done. Should be cool and clear up storage space to boot.
Hate to butt-in, but....My smart thermostat yells at me about running on emergency heat.
I need to move out on getting a pellet stove in here
Like my MIL's system out on the farm only she has a Geo thermal loop. It's always cold in there until you turn the thermostat to to 71 or 71° then the LP kicks in.Hate to butt-in, but....
You're running a heat pump in WV? I have one here as well, and when it gets down to about 25* or so it doesn't keep-up and has to switch over to burning NG ("emergency heat"), so what you're experiencing sounds like SOP to me.
Or are you running back-up/emergency heat when it's warmer out?
Nice! I wish I had the money to put in a geo loop, but with retirement coming-up and all....Like my MIL's system out on the farm only she has a Geo thermal loop. It's always cold in there until you turn the thermostat to to 71 or 71° then the LP kicks in.
We may have to get together for a raceNow this is cool to go with that $20 set I got.

Bittersweet, Mike?T2R9 bought my 66 and posted in the 66 Dart thread.
Kind of. I owned it for 13 years and enjoyed it a lot. I was stalled out on it. Time for someone else to take it to the next level and do all the things to it I couldn't or didn't do. It is in good hands and I feel real good about that.Bittersweet, Mike?
So it is New Year's Eve here in Vietnam. Lynda and I are going out to dinner at some point. Just let me leave this trinket of advice and wisdom with you all before you get into your New Year's Eve. Make sure you all take a good dump today so you don't carry all that **** with you into the new year. Kkkkkk

Yes heat pump. Poor choice for the climate, but that's the standard.Hate to butt-in, but....

Yup. I agree they don't make a helluva lot of sense in our climates, but I still have "connections" with the local Carrier Rep in Mpls, and I was able to buy a scratch and dent, R410a heatpump for our place last summer at a deep discount, so why not? As long as you're aware of the limitations they're fine.Yes heat pump. Poor choice for the climate, but that's the standard.
Once it's below 30° it runs emergency and I keep the house set at 64° during the day and 60° at night
Look on the bright side, it coulda been a piano!Took me a second to connect the dots...
It's actually New Year's Eve
This is what 2025 was. Let's hope for better next year

So Jodi literally had a quasi argument with her phone this morning. Part of her objectives this year given to her by her boss is to learn and figure out how to incorporate more AI into their profession. (She does mergers and acquisitions.) So she wakes up and her phone starts a dialogue with her about her poor night of sleep, she has just started PT from hip replacement surgery and just weaned off pain meds. Jodi tells her phone to be quiet but it does not comply, she then she trys to delete whatever app is talking to her to literally have her phone tell her the app is hiding in one of her programs and she will have to find it. That is why she cannot shut it down. It was nuts

Thanks FredGood morning all and hoping everyone has a great new year.
The compressor is original to the house, so about 20 years old. Thinking about getting an assessment on the size and maybe update/upgradeYup.
