morning boys and girls, got a little snow last nite but they say up to 40 today. Coffee was good this morning driving in.

Of course! I need to get another 20 yards of gravel in the spring. It is a little thin this year and that is part of the problem.

Morning Ice last night and very windy still today 20 temp right now but going lower all day. BRRRRRRRRRRRR. Coffee done and French toast in the pan. I have had some interest in the 78 dodge Monaco that i put on the ABO web site last night. Would be nice it gets sold. I need the room. Keep warm every one.

Ready for the cold spell there Mitch? It is hitting us late this afternoon.
Yeah, I guess we get it about the same time as you. Hopefully this will be the last cold snap.
I am not really bitchin the winter has not been terrible like last year here but the Ice on the gravel is hard to get rid of. I wonder if I put in those 4" corrugated drain pipes under the gravel will help of will they just freeze up also?
Probably would just freeze after the ground got saturated.
I am on the fence with it, of course the only place water pools is at the bottom of the "hill" that goes to the road, right where you need traction. No other way to get to the road. It just has gotten bad this year. Story of my life lately.

Maybe some of the bagged asphalt with gravel over it in the low spot? I just is driving me nuts and there is not much I can do with it this winter.

Usually I drop a load of modified gravel on the drive and the last year I did not, See what happens when you cheap out!

Just so you know there Hops I have the same issue. I still have a couple inches of ice on the driveway. I don't have the slope you do though

Do you have what we call Cold mix ? When they start making it here mid to late spring I can have a load delivered here and spread it by hand with help of family or friends, not sure what the cost is now but it works great for pot holes (bird bath low spots) :coffee2: It's a dry mix that will pack in with a rented roller, you may have seen crews out patching pot holes using it.
