Stop in for a cup of coffee

The biggest I've ever felt was a 3.8. And I didn't so much as feel it as see the ripples in the pool when it happened in San Diego several years ago
Ride thru a few 7.0 and see how you feel!!! Landers 7.3 Northridge 6.7

No nails, only screws!!
The house I've been designing is similarly strengthened. 2x8 studs on the exterior wall(code here is 2x4@ 16 inch), 3/4 cedar siding. Foundation is 12 in reinforced high tensile concrete (code is 8) 2x12 subfloor spaced at 16 in centers(code is 20 inches)

I am telling you if you are going 2x8 walls you would be better off staggering 2.... 2x4 walls

A dual wall will hold better than a single.
Depends on how it is built. Tornadoes exhibits rotational sheer forces that can peel a house like an onion. The strength of each layer tends to provide better protection than having more of them.

In an Earthquake, it is all about the shear strength.
Horizontal sheer being most important. The forces are linear and horizontal at ground level.

Tornado forces are rotational and will work around the structure with varying intensity from the top to the bottom. This is further compounded by pressure differential created by high speed air flow across, within and around the structure. Also, add to that the ballistic bombardment of flying debris moving at up to 300 mph.

Structural tornado resistance is a very complicated engineering problem for free standing individual buildings.

It's next up in the CAD software. I'm not married to any single concert just yet. I've got 4 different types of builds mocked up in a 3D software that'll allow me to simulate on the computer a variety of forces including sheer forces. All the exact same floor plan. When I get them all done, I'm gonna run them and use the results to see which I like best
I think he is going for tornado strength.

Yep. That and straight line winds are my biggest threat. I'm also making the roof and exterior walls stronger since the house will be built in the midst of 10 acres of giant Beech, hickory and cedar trees. With the few oaks and maples scattered here or there

You may also want to consider angling the outside walls 30-40 degrees inward at the top to reduce the linear wind load by 50% and also create down force on the structure to keep it anchored by increasing it's dynamic weight by 70%.

There was a tent structure designed like that on Kauai during hurricane Iniki that withstood 200 mph winds for hours and remained intact.

Nice I'll add that to the list to try. Problem is I'm stuck between making it look good to my wife's desires and my desires for increased strength

A false exterior facade can still make it look square with the strength coming from the interior structural components being angled. The exterior facade would become sacrificial.

**** SORRY TO KEEP REPOSTING THIS. However after my grandpa passing on thanksgiving I’m very determined to complete this project as I inherited this car from him and really want it ready before the service so I can drive the Dart to the service. Love you grandpa RIP*****

Hey guys a while ago I came across a post with detailed Parts information for swapping my a904 cooler lines to braided lines. It had a list of all the parts and sizes/specs. I had it written down but lost it. I’m trying to locate it again or get ahold of anyone who can tell me all I need to order to do the swap. Thank you in advance. Or if someone has the lines & adapters for sale.

Sorry for your loss.
Can't help with the line problem.
