Stop in for a cup of coffee

Do the internals move turning crank? If so it will run, but why bother if you are not ready to work on it. Get it freed up and
cover it with a tarp so you are not distracted by it.
don't know, haven't tried. Didn't want to try until I can drain the old fluids and put some oil in it and prime it.

I am not sure what I am doing. I do not need to put the whole quarter on and hate to cut a full quarter up. I am in no hurry. I have been watching metal forming videos so I want to try to make the lip around the wheel well. That's actually all I need. I was going to use Fiberglass until the State backed into the car. Driver side need a full quarter.

I hear ya. Refresh my mind, what year dart?

I'm hoping that a few hours of sun and winds 10-15 mph above freezing do a lot of the work for me.

I don't plan to attack it until after lunch time anyway.
Most likely I will zip through it with the blower early and then if it gets a little sun it will melt it clean so I don't end up with a skating rink when the sun goes down.

Yep, I've got 80 lbs of salt left from last year that will make sure there is no ice left from this little storm.

I'm trying to conserve it though, I have a feeling it's going to be a long snowy winter.

80 lbs of salt will make lots of margaritas! Will keep you nice and warm on those cold nights/days

I'm just talking about wrenching the crank to see that it is not seized.
I'd just pull the plugs, spray WD40 in the cylinders and wait until Spring to try to turn it. No reason to try cranking and bust a ring now. I also think that engine has solid lifters which means some of the valves have been open and rusting. I wouldn't try to turn it until I took it apart and inspected everything. 5 minutes of running and you will burn those valves unless they are lapped in first.

10+ years of sitting and I would take it really slow so as not to do damage uneccesarily.

She's an old lady who has been sitting a long time...don't try to make her run without a full check out first.

Yes, definitely get some lube in cylinders. I'm just thinking if it turns without too much effort by hand - bring it around once or twice to run the lube over the cylinder walls. Repeat the process a couple times a year until the Dart is done or the dinosaurs come back and take over the planet.:D

No snow here Hop's, cold and windy just the way I don't like it
