Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey what's on your Christmas list?
May be I should start a thread!

But that car is a boat...IMO. Had a 61 fury with that engine in it. Was NOT going to win any races...

That sucks for you Eggles fans. Wentz out with a knee injury. But, he did walk out...
That sucks
Sure...in a car that weighs 800 lbs less.

Actually, according to Alpar , the 64 polara curb weight is 3389 and a 74 dart swinger curb weight is 3263, both 318s

Honestly, I'd love to throw a 440 big block into it. But I kind of wanna keep it original. I know it's not gonna have any value being a 4 door so I could do whatever but just feel like the poly deserves to stay. Guess it'll depend on condition of the engine. If the poly is rusted and toast, then a 440 with a mild build may go in. I've got 3 440 blocks sitting here.
Thus the Popmobile!

Mike doesn't have a 74 Dart and that curb weight for the Polara isn't the 318 sedan. The sedan weighs in at just under 3500 lbs.

True but I'm just comparing what I have lol.

And there's a gentleman by the name of Bruce Toth that is making Cnc machines aluminum heads for the poly now.

That reminds me, i have to find an intake gasket set for a poly... my parts guy carries fel-pro and its nla.

Tried to re-seal the gasket and it didnt work, well it did, stop the seeping coolant, but then oil started leaking.

Did get it running decent, but the leaks are hard to deal with when parts arent readily available. I will find one by springtime.

Found a couple other things I'll have to fix to make it safe to be road worthy. The upper control arm bushings are shot and look to have been welded in at some point. Which is no big deal as I fully expected a full suspension rebuild. I also noticed the one motor mount ear where it is tacked to the K frame, the weld had busted to the point I can see a gap when prying the thing with a bar. So that'll need fixed for sure. Also noticed that the lower core support has been smashed upwards at some point, looks like by a bottle jack or similar. Radiator surprising is full of coolant and it's bright green with nothing visible floating. Weird.

The trunk lock is frozen either by water or rust, not sure. And I'm missing a lot of trim which will be challenging to locate I'm sure
