Looks pretty close to what I found in another book (Peterson's) Also I did find there is at least part of this in the '74 FSM.
Some folks are just meticulous.
I think this description fits anally retentive.
When somebody is describing something inaccurately, with intent to hype the story further along while not necessarily being factual.
