Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey called Dan's, told me to send them my inserts, they'd look at them and give me an estimate. My guy says they are easy to work with and have a better than average turn around. Couple times he's sent stuff back and they fixed it and got it right back out. Yesterday I sent them my inserts, we'll see what they say.

Nice! I was looking at my taillight bezels and trunk lock bezel on the polara. More pitting and flaking than I orginally thought. I may hit the junkyards in the pouring rain tomorrow and see if I can locate any that are in better shape and send those in.

Dont want to cobble it together. Want to be able to DRIVE it! The tire would still hit the lower fender lip.
makes sense. I can't believe how much trouble you've had with rims the past year

Like I said, whenever you modify something, there will be bugs to work out. Remember the A body had, what 6 inch wide tire on it from factory? Getting the most rubber you can under there takes some work.

yep. But a crack in a new wheel is rare.

Chinese made. :BangHead: Seems the only thing still made in the USA is welfare case babies!
Was reading that their castings are Chinesium. Would explain your situation. :BangHead: Forged billet wheels are still US made.:usflag:Not sure if it was theirs..saw an episode of How its Made doing forged aluminum wheels. Really cool to see. Start by lopping a chunk off a piece of round stock and ends up a wheel.

The 15"x7 ARE 'Ansen style' slots were made in China. Price and wt were right - rigid design - not the best looking but sometimes not much choice.
Every now and then I get a hankering for nicer rims - either a minlite or torque thrust style - but they'ld have to be all aluminum.
