Good to hear they're getting Grandma patched up.

My Dad is home now. Got all his 'levels' back in order, so they kicked him out of the hospital yesterday.

Gotta get ready for work now.
 
Morning guys. Glad Grandma is on the mend. Still trying to get a look at those engines. Could't get there yesterday . Ice Storm here. Gonna just show up today.

That was fun. Took about 10 minutes to remove the ice crust from the car.
No problem getting to work. Main roads are clean. Side roads- not so much.
 
Morning slept in a bit today. Karl great news on your grandma. Icy mess here it should hit 36 so maybe it will melt.

My uncle and cousin are here from VA/Wash DC and my other cousin came in from CA yesterday (her sister). When I talked to them yesterday, they were looking for a dog...

They want a dog to stay with them while they are here as they are dog people and have some at home....


I told them to get a hold of my uncle in town, he's watching grandma's yellow lab mix in addition to having two of his own. (they just lost two dogs in the last year or so from old age).

Yeah my driveway is a sheet of ice this morning. Good thing I don't have a job !! LOL
 
I knew I should have finished my first cup before I logged in this morning, I have dropped two things already this morning :???: and can't seem to get things straight or spell worth a chit ether !!.:banghead:.. On a good note :glasses7: 40 degrees today and the rain is going to stay south of me :glasses7: I may have to break the sun screen out today :D
 
I am usually good with this stuff, but no matter how many beers could I understand it. It is worse this morning!

Morning all. I'm having trouble with my 17 year old staying up all night on the net. I unhook the modem and take it with me when I go to bed. Last night he found an old modem I had stuffed away in the basement and when I hooked the new one back up this morning of course it didn't work. I woke him up and made him fix it. But that didn't solve anything. Tonight I will have to go to bed with 2 modems and that will work until he buys one for himself. I wish the cable company could shut it off at 10pm. and turn it back on in the morning. My wife and I both use the net for work so taking it out completely isn't really a option. Thanks for listening. Frustrated!
 
Good morning FABO, good to hear the older folks are improving. God bless the people who take care of them. No ice here, but heavy fog gives a dreamy quality outside. I go to work at 3, the restaurant is opening specially for a private group and we have to haul all the tables out and bring in round ones...hard on the back but helps the wallet.
 
I switched to beer after I had my 10:00 am coffee, I'm only on my second one 5 hours later. This cold weather sucks, so... The girlfriend and I are heading to the Virgin Islands! We actually planned this around New years. She wants to celebrate her birthday on a beach, and Minnesota don't have sh*t for warm sandy beaches this time of year. We got an all inclusive deal and I can't wait to get outta here! I won't be able to check in for over a week, and I'm gonna miss it, but I think I'll be able to cope! Stay warm fellas!

I have the same thing here Mike. Just change the access code for the modem every day! I had to do that but it is a pain in the ***. I finally had it and put a dummy connector in the splitter to his room. You can get a t connector with a switch to change it to another line and I just left the cable off on the other side. He found it but took a few days. We have wireless now and you are pretty much screwed unless you change the hours in his profile. It is a privilege not a right to have the web. I seriously think they will all self destruct if we ever lose it. Look at us how else will we be able to drink coffee again with out it! (dam you for starting this thread)

At least I'm not the only one. I need to call the cable company and see if they can shut it off at 10 pm. and turn it back on at 6 am. If they can't they should!
