Been up since three. Wife is sleeping in. I thing she hit my sleep meds. LOL not like her to be in bed after five.

This is my first time without a mom figure. Lost both mom and grandma last year. Two generations in the same year.... :sad:
I've always gone to mom's house on holidays and cooked a meal with her to keep our side of the family together... :violent2:
I offered to cook and bring the food to my brother's on Easter, and he left me hanging this year... Didn't even call me to say "Happy Easter", so I just ate with my kid...
Without mom and grandma, I have a feeling that the family will not be as close together as we used to. Even though I've tried to keep it together... :banghead:
I always made a Hugh production out of Mothers Day with the kids when they were growing up. Felt it was important . Mines still alive 94 this year. Lives with a cousin.
You should "hit that" and then you may be able to get back to sleep...
I've been up a while also. I think I'm going to get some more sleep...

I would cook with mom to keep our side together.
My "uncle" on the north side always seemed to have stuff going on with holidays with his wife's side of the family, and we never were invited....
So I started cooking with mom so at least her, me, my brother and our kids could at least spend holidays together for a meal at least...
The last few years, grandma said that the aunt and uncle felt like WE were excluding THEM... :banghead: It wasn't to exclude them, it was so we would have something to do on holidays when they usually had other plans... And mom's house did not have enough room to start entertaining that WHOLE side of the family... If we include my aunt's side, then it multiplies fast...
You can't win for loosing... #-o

Happy mother's day to you and Treva. Glad that you had a great time entertaining your grand daughter yesterday. That picture that you posted of your grand daughter sleeping with your dog way back when, I think it was Buddy, reminded me of myself when I was young... :angel12:
Here's a picture of me sleeping with my "best friend" when I was a kid. We went to bed like that every night, with her under my covers and her head on the pillow next to mine... Our other Dalmatian slept at my feet on top of the covers also...
How do you like the diamond shaped spots around her eyes??? Dad always said, "Diamonds are a girl's best friend"...

Good morning. ........ looks like a smoother day today after we had some violent weather yesterday. Got some golf ball size hail and flooding bursts of rain. There are downed trees and leaves everywhere. .....its a mess
