Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning guys. Good day today will be heading over to my folks house to have home made biscuits and sausage gravy. Then back to the apartment in Seattle to find out when my bone marrow transplant will be.
They have decided to give me a half match transplant which will be from my son.
Things are looking good. The cancer has been knocked down over 50 percent and they think when my sons marrow takes over it will zap the rest. Going to be a long recovery though.

i was out warming the shop today ....its amazing the heat that radiates from welding .....and the smell of Argon mix before breakfast ....oh Baybeee

good to hear from you. Prayers for the bone marrow thingy. And so glad the cancer is reduced.

Hope you can have a good Thanksgiving.....right around the corner

Good morning all. Nice to see you back Anders. Sometimes you just have to get away for some R&R.

That damn cancer! We are all hopeful for your cure. It has been a long road to recovery.

Good to see this update, Stan! Enjoy this eventful day with good energy being sent from all over.

Morning guys!

Came across this video yesterday, for any of you doing some budget builds, this guy apparently only has $2700 in his entire build. Pretty inspiring.

Here's what we was doing. I think I got it closed up ok. Supposed to get heavy rain tomorrow
The shiny area around the end of the little peak is stuff I sprayed to clean off roof goo. I made a mess gluing the last few cap shingles

Hopefully that will take care of it. Hang in there Stan... :burnout:

Mornin' and hello again, folks!

Haven't been here in roughly 20 pages or so. About a week. Had a week off from everything, went out to the cabin by myself to get away from the constant sounds of family life. One of my stress symptoms is sensitivity to sound. And tinnitus. Decided to check out completely and stayed off Facebook and FABO. Did me well. Took walks and went for runs in the forest.

Back now, though. I think I'll take a look at my precious in the garage.

Nice printing press, Ters. Spent a couple of weeks testing an axial displacement system on an MAN Roland press in Augsburg in '98. I think they are the only two serious competitors in that market, no? At least European ones.

It's good to be back.

I started a rumor that you were kidnapped and taken advantage of by a Swedish blonde.... :glasses7:

Hello everybody!

Welcome back Anders.

It's been a busy weekend.... :evil3:

We finally got Doug all moved in this weekend. He handed off the keys to the old rental house to the landlord last night.... :blob:

While finishing the last fish tank yesterday, my youngest son called and wanted to use the truck to tow a car home... He bought a 86 Nissan 300 ZX.... :banghead:

I'm not a fan of the foreign cars, but trying to keep an open mind and let him do what he wants... #-o

So we had to find a local U-haul dealer that had a trailer available. The closest one did not, but gave him a reservation for one at a "ma & pa" shop. They were closing in a half hour. Last time I rented a U-haul from a ma & pa shop, they wouldn't even help me hook up the trailer. :finga:

I go to the corporate ones from then on... :farao:

Then I told him to call another one that was more on the way to where we were going to pick up the car (in Crown Point, Indiana)... Luckily they had one and were open an hour longer, so we went there... :color:

We looked at the car, and it's in decent shape. It has a few minor rust spots, but is pretty clean otherwise. It starts and runs well, but will not go into gear. The seller said that it needed a clutch adjustment, but Doug said that those have hydraulic clutches and are not adjustable, so I talked the guy down another $100 for my son and we had to push it up on the trailer.... :pale:

I just re-injured my calf muscle earlier helping Doug. I was finally able to walk straight on it, then tripped on a floor molding between 2 rooms and stumbled and re-stretched the calf muscle again. It's a little stiff this morning, but at least it will heal in a few days, not weeks like I was originally concerned about... :violent1:

Now I have to go return the trailer to U-haul... #-o

And Doug needs to unpack all his stuff at the new house.... (but he has the day off tomorrow...) :sad9:

I'll post a picture of the Nissan later after I get back....

Wow!

All of these "lights on" and nobody home.... :violent1:

I'm going to return the trailer then.... :???:

Well, that was a quick trip. Water was so deep across the roads I turned around and got back home while I still could. It's supposed to keep raining all day. Since moving here, I've really come to understand "Lowcountry" is not just a style of cuisine. It's really, really low here, quite often underwater!

One of the few areas of the world I have never traveled to. Being away from home and family alone can be stressful. I have to go hope to talk again sometime.

I would suggest Swaziland if you ever had to visit Africa....great country with very hospitable inhabitants. For a "Safari" experience, Botswana or Namibia should be top of your to visit list.

WELCOME BACK Anders!!:D Was worried about you sir... Roland, KBA and Heidelberg are definitely the global market leaders. I am biased yes, but Heidelberg is the best.:glasses7:

WOW. That really looks good. What did you do. Rip off what Anthony and I did and start over. LOL

Thank you it's something to consider. Wife just booked a ten day cruise for mid February.
No idea where, and it really doesn't matter as long as it's warm.
