When I was 18 I chopped a 67 Trophy 500. Savior rear section, Springer, Cams, etc. Got some old pics somewhere. But I'd have to scan them
I dig those ol school triumph chops

Yup 1983 528e 5speed with a motor that doesn't run. (I gave up on it, BMWs are confusing.)
I had an '85 or possibly '86. It was actually my first car. Bought it off my brother for nothing. It also had the 2,8 liter injected six. Only ran on three half the time, though so you needed to floor it to get anywhere and when the remaining three kicked in it could get interesting.
I love those cars. I think they have a raw elegance that modern BMW:s lack.
I had one also I would have to scan a pic. 650 Bonneville with a long springer front end.
So your a little off! We don't care!
We bought it for a cheap rwd drift/track day toy. Got it running but the timing was always off. Had a cold start problem, and now I think I popped the ECU. They look good, but damn are they hard to sell. lol
I checked the online parts database for all junk yards in Sweden and there are plenty of ECU:s to be had for $80 or so over here.
Ters, When we were in SA over New Year's 2000-2001, there was snow on the Draakens Mountains. I think that was the first time in like 100 years. We didn't get to see it, though; we didn't leave Sweden in December to see snow in Africa.![]()
