Late checking in today. The kid and I were degreeing 3 more cams until 4 AM this morning.. Now I have to do the three stock 360 cams and process the numbers...

Now we have to study for a math test for tonight...

As usual, gotta catch up... (and maybe some mustard....)

You got lucky. Not even propane could get our Challenger left torsion bar loose, we had to use the "big torch" (acetelyne) and pound it with a hand sledge to break it loose.... :violent1:

Yeah, this semester has so much homework, I'm starting out way behind... :banghead:

well, I knew they had been out before so I figured it was just a matter of getting it right - what worried me was the car was raced and thought maybe they were "extra" pounded in there.. BTW, I took the 360 to my local engine guy - I appreciate your offer to help with it, but I have so many other things going on that I decided it was better for me mentally to farm it out - just couldn't dedicate the time to it.

Put anti-sieze grease on the ends of the bars and pack the sockets with axle grease when you install them so they come out easier next time...

well I dont know how many of you fellers are watching my cuda thread but i got her out for the 1st time in 10 years the other day . and she broke lol

dang. I feel lucky that I have never had that many issues with torsion bars.

all of mine have come out relatively easy and I think maybe it has to do with no rust being in there.

I usually use a huge pry bar and push the torsion bar back using the LCA to push it. which is a bit more work because doing it like that means taking the LCA off as well.

Angle is everything, even using the LCA to push it out, if your angle isn't 100% accurate it will bind up on such little pressure and fight you.
 
dang, don't you hate it when CL people don't respond .....I am tempted to flag their ads for removal when they don't respond.

I mean, if they wont respond then what good does the ad do right??
