Stop in for a cup of coffee

it's going to be easier (for me anyway) to do a weigh in kinda thing - too bleary at 5:30am to even think of it M-F so I have been checking it on either Sat or Sun mornings..

Weekend weigh in could work...

I just don't like weighing in every day. You can get on the scale and weigh yourself one time and it's different a little while later when you didn't eat anything... :banghead:

So I only use the scale to check periodically so I don't get discouraged with lack of progress.

Plus as you loose fat and gain muscle, it's sometimes a wash on the scale, but you are getting thinner by loosing fat and gaining muscle. I don't mind gaining muscle, as long as I loose fat...
 
No I was out side plowing the drive so the insurance adjuster can get in. This comp sucks though.
 
Weekly weigh in works for me. It sounds like we are all close in where we are now, so actual lbs lost should work. Depends who all is in, but I am thinking if everyone put up $20, winner takes all? How long do you want to run it?
 
hum.. how would you determine the winner? I'm thinking we all have different goals and as Karl said, if you are working out you will gain muscle weight...

Good point, how do you determine the winner when everyone has different goals to loose?

Let's keep the money out of it as that could lead to disagreements/fights over the winnings and it's not worth loosing friends over. Plus less incentive to cheat or lie... :twisted:

I just prefer bragging rights or the right to give the "loosers" some trash talk... - you fatties... (I'm practicing...) :D

Checking weight once a week doesn't sound like a bad way to compare progress... :happy1:


Maybe get some before and after pictures so if we do succeed, we can see what we did afterwards... :glasses7:

If we all do good, then we can get trophies of Buddah... (He resembles what we used to look like...) :farao:
 
a before picture? pass!! there's something I don't need to see.. LOL As you said, keep the $$ out of it and there'll be no incentive to cheat or lie (fib) - and this way we'll be more sure we are each telling the truth.. ya?

Good morning. Funny I was just thinking about wanting to lose weight. For me that just makes me think about food even more and next thing you know, I'm eating a big bowl of spaghetti with Italian sausage and lots of garlic bread!

Back to work today, it's going to be a long week because Valentine's Day is on a Sunday, normally we would be closed. I really hope you guys' wives don't insist on going out to a restaurant...it's not the best set-up for a great dinner...crowds...almost every table is a party of two which makes things more hectic for the kitchen and the server...

As for the added muscle weight issue... too complicated to take everything into account. If you turn into a 98 pound weakling for bragging rights, that's on you. I think keep it simple, pounds lost, like Biggest Loser.

Final - May 28. Saturday before Memorial Day

Start weight this Sat when you get up, before 'ingesting'. No country breakfast before start weight! If you pig and drink Friday...whatever. lol
 
Morning all, just checking in to see what the scuttle but is all about this morning.
Glad to see you guys wanting to lose. Some weight.
Don't do it like I did I was 250 lbs when I started cancer treatment dropped all the way to 180 lbs. now back to 198 and planning to try and stay around 200.

I'm feeling real good and had a good doctor visits yesterday. Getting to go home some now that sure feels good.

My folks bought me a exercise bike been riding it and working out with 4 lbs dumb bells.
Can't believe how weak I got through all this.

Was home last weekend and tried to start the dart and the battery was flat dead. Charged it up. The old gril fired right up. Sure was good to hear her roar!
 
my laptop gave me a hard time yesterday - couldn't get past the log in screen for the longest time.. it took so long that I actually powered it off and restarted it

Very Glad to Hear, you are doing Much Better Stan!!!. Exercise will e good for you.
 
I think that date intersects with my vacation plans.. so I can go with it but reporting will be later than that..
