Stop in for a cup of coffee

Speaking of taxes, just did mine and e-filed! First time I've done them myself in a while...since it's gotten really pricey to have an expert do them.

TMM, you should keep the taxes collected in a separate account. Then when its time to give the state the taxes you collected on there behalf, painless. And you could get extra money by getting interest on the states money. My wife, who works as a Sales tax specialist for the state of California, told me to tell you every few days you should transfer the tax money. sound advice IMO.

Yes, that's a good idea. I hold money back each week so the 20th of the month isn't a struggle. I am lucky to pay monthly. Many businesses pay quarterly which you really have to have your poop together.

actually I know what you mean ....last year I had to pay so someone on unemployment could get a drug and couch stimulus.

Now that I make more than I did when I was in college I doubt I will get a return.

Yet, if I had dropped out of HS and had a baby from someone in jail, I would probably get 5X the return I have ever had as I am. ****SiGH****

oh well ....blessing come in many forms.

Assuming I did get a return .....in a magic dream land....then we are cooking LOL

You're actually better off paying at the end of the year instead of getting a refund. If you get a refund, then the government has been collecting interest on your money. If you pay at the end of the year, you were getting interest on that money, instead of them.

IF you really want a refund at the end of the year, go to your human resources representative and increase your with holdings each year...

The best scenario is to have to pay less than $1000 at the end of the year, then you are getting the interest yourself instead of the gov sitting on it...

decrease your with holdings.

Hmmm ... they bolt on easier right side up. Lol! Oh well. Carry on with your regularly scheduled programming. Back to Lurk Mode.

interesting take on interest :evil3:

I still never got an answer from any other thread ....if an A-body 8 3/4 is the same strength and all as an earlier B-body.

every time I ask, I just get people saying they are surprised that B-bodies could have had an 8 1/4 as early as 69

yes it is so

I have an 8 1/4 from a 70 belvedere .......

I don't understand what you're saying here.

Are you asking how strong an 8 1/4" is compared to an 8 3/4" axle, or did 8 1/4" axles come in B-bodies and were they strong enough for them???

Not that TMM was talking about income taxes, but every year we have to write a check. I complained one time to my CPA, and he said "If you dont want to owe taxes at the end of the year, have them take out more every month". I told him that was stupid. I dont want to have to pay so much tax! He got pissed. After all if taxes were EZ to figure out, he would be out of business.

Hey...I just gave 4 hours of my life! My niece had her last gymnastic meet. Good grief I hate them. Nap time then time to dig into something.

Well wive is up. Wants to go clothes shopping. Doh!

I hope I'm not too late to give you this info. You're being lured into a trap, you need to know how to handle this. Watch this video and be prepared....

That makes more sense. Money is money but interest rates on savings accounts nowdays are less than 1%.

yup we all have those times when we have to serve family time but in the long run its well worth it.

you wouldn't need a nap if you had one of these :jocolor:
