Stop in for a cup of coffee

The boys got my 360 pulled the other day. I don't have a clue what to do with it but you can't have a collection unless you have more than 1. It looks like it was a stock car engine but with a stock cam for the street. Someone knew what they were doing, They fashioned a electronic ign. box and resister as a plug and play thing. I peeked into the oil fill cap and it looked really clean. Stock stamped rockers but heavy springs. A 750 Edelbrock carb and intake and air cleaner, MP valve covers, billet throttle bracket and flex fan all comes with it. Oh and a late model gear reduction starter. It's internally balanced. I don't know what it is inside.

You can never have too many in a collection. Sounds like a nice setup..

that's a rear sump truck pan .....

they re-pop the car pans for like 40 bucks on feebay

But BE WARNED ....the new re-pop pans come with a "made in Taiwan" sticker

It fits pretty good but you would think some inner city kids in Detroit could be paid to stamp a pan just as easy as some Taiwanese village kids.

Our kids don't want jobs. ..just money!

Yep, a truck pan. They had it in a Jeep. (original 4 cylinder Jeep) Nope just the engine.

The CJ5's were prone to tip/roll, the CJ7's were more stable...

yea, I don't really know the difference ....back in my jeep days, I was only into FSJs

I had an 86 Grand wagoneer that had an AMC 360 ......vroom vroom, it was a monster for only being a 2 bbl.

I loved that machine EXCEPT ...I didn't like that those were only available in automatics ....UGHHHH

Before I sold it, I was thinking of doing some kind of GM 5 speed swap or doing something Frankenstein to it.

But then, I found my B-body wagons and I figured it's much easier to frankenstien a coronet because I am more familiar with a B-body car.

So my Jeep program was discontinued in favor of the wagon trek and I sold all my jeeps and parts.

The CJ5's were the shorter ones. I know one guy who rolled one, got thrown out, and his girlfriend landed on top of him and broke his collar bone...

Another guy I worked with when I was a kid, was off-roading in Arizona and rolled one and his wife got thrown out and the Jeep rolled over her and killed her...

That's one of the main reasons that AMC sold off to Chrysler, the liability suits from the rollling CJ's were taking a big hit on them...

Chrysler immediately made them more stable after they bought them out...

Wish I could be that happy in the AM. Looks like he is still going from thong Thursday!

Not a care in the world! Don't have to go to work. Hot bowl of rice on the way. And he's got a stick to play with. Life is good..

Looks like a tornado went through Lancaster yesterday! Kind of weird for this time of year but a while ago we had a ef1 here in dec.

Happens about once a year usually weak ones if any are weak. Not sure the one yesterday just caught a blip of it. The one in Halifax I almost drove into it with a Neon! Saw it cross the road about 100 yards in front of me coming home from work. If I was 30 seconds earlier I would have been scrapped.. Hope I never see one again.

Hey Tike! Maybe give rides before the adult beverages come out on lift day like they did with the hellcats at Carlisle! HA!
